DAY 01: CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
We start the tour with a pick-up from the hotel at 06:30 am with the tourist transport that will take us to different archaeological sites such as the textile center, Chinchero, Moray, Maras, buffet lunch in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, and then transfer to the Ollantaytambo station to board the tourist train. During the journey, we’ll observe the Vilcanota River and the extensive Sacred Valley of the Incas, arriving at the town and Aguas Calientes station. The lodging staff will be waiting with the group’s name to take you to the accommodation. At the scheduled time, the guide will visit the hotel to coordinate the departure time to Machu Picchu for the next day.
DAY 02: MACHU PICCHU FULL DAY
On this day, breakfast at the lodging. After breakfast, we head to the bus station to board the bus for a 30-minute journey, ascending through a zigzagging road to the Machu Picchu citadel. The excursion includes a guided tour for 2.5 hours, visiting the main square, the circular tower, the “Inti Huatana,” the royal quarters, the temple of three windows, the Inca cemetery, and other sites. After the guided tour, we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes town. (Lunch is on the passenger’s account). In the afternoon, we take the return train from Aguas Calientes town, arriving at the Ollantaytambo station, and then taking the transport back to the city of Cusco.
